KOHL’S Exclusive Billion Dollar Brows Best Sellers Kit Review

Since the moment I first became aware of having eyebrows, I hated them.

I’m not talking about “oh-this-grooming-thing-is-so-annoying-I-just-hate-it” hate. Oh no, what I’m referring to is full-on “crying-my-eyes-out-after-spending-an-hour-trying-to-tame-the-two-caterpillars-that-have-staked-permanent-claim-on-my-face” hate.

Growing up, these bushy bad boys were a constant source of low self-confidence that deterred me from befriending anyone that wasn’t my mom. {Okay, if I’m being honest, there were probably other forces at play – like my complete and utter disdain of typical adolescent behavior.} Even as recently as a couple years ago, when I {mistakenly} thought I had finally mastered the eyebrow game, a complete stranger questioned my sanity by way of the following oh-so-eloquent Instagram comment, “Your eyebrows {insert laughing-so-hard-I’m-crying emoji}.”

Needless to say, that particular photo quickly got deleted as all of my insecurities came rushing back.

I cannot say much has changed since then, but I’m happy to report I’ve found some help, for lack of a better word, to take me from being the subject of Nike’s “Just Do It” eyebrow memes to something a bit more presentable. Should you find yourself in the same bushy brows boat as me, the Billion Dollar Brows Best Sellers Kit, available exclusively at KOHL’S, may just save you years of embarrassment and regret.

The kit includes a brow pencil, gel, highlighter and smudge brush, and at the mere price of $34.99, it’s quite a steal – considering that eyebrows are a defining facial feature. The brow pencil is a magical tool if only for the reason that  it’s a mechanical, self-sharpening pencil that {magically} looks natural on all hair colors and skin tones. Being a continuous victim of brow pencil flakes across my face, I was happy to find that the kit included a brow gel, which keeps bushy bad boys in place all day long. The duo highlighter is by far one of the most versatile and useful tools I’ve ever tried, with a concealer on one end and a highlighter on the other. It comes with a soft bristle smudge brush – ideal for applying creamy cosmetics.

Because this blog is about more than simply sharing my latest makeup finds, here’s my attempt at kicking my insecurities in the butt by wearing my hair up and away from my face. If you feel so inclined, please join this personal-growth experience by sharing your own insecurities in the comments section.

I promise I won’t ask you to join hands and sing kumbaya.
